~Gift for me~

So I decided to buy myself a gift.

Sure is cute isn't it! Getting ready to take little man to gymnastics practice. Afterwards, getting my hair done. First time since May! How crazy! I used to go every 3-4 weeks for highlights but life has been way to crazy lately. We are thinking of taking man to the local fair this weekend. He has never been big enough to ride the rides before so we haven't taken him to one since he was 3 months old. Bet he will love it. :) The big state fair is in two weeks and we are def. doing that one. Looking forward to fall! I love to make homemade pumpkin pie's and decorating. Best time of year!

What is your favorite time of year?

So in honor of reaching over 1,000 Facebook fans I am going to be pushing out all of my giveaways this week! The first one I am doing is on the CUTEST koozie I have seen yet! I fell in love just by the picture and once it came in the mail, I was done. It is awesome. So everyone these days is in the Mustache craze. Well The Posh Shoppe has a Mustache Koozie. They have several different colors to choose from. I choose pink. My favorite color. :)

See how cute she even decorates the packaging. They are really made great and keep your drinks cool. Hand washing is recommended, just an FYI if any of y'all get them. I do that and it stays looking PERFECT.

I am looking forward to using it at the beach... on my birthday at that! So excited.

Check out her Etsy Shop here.

UPDATE!!!!! The shop has run out of koozies so it will now be a $10 store credit for the winner. SO SORRY for any confusion!

Giveaway: Ruffles with Love

I had an opportunity to interview Vanessa Hodge with Ruffles With Love. Love her shirts. If you haven't checked her Etsy store out, you should do so!

1. How did you come up with Ruffles with Love? The actual name Ruffles with Love my fiance came up with when we were brainstorming names one night! I love ruffles and anything girly so he just ran with it and thats how we got the name! The actual idea to do workout shirts came from me needing to be getting in shape for my November wedding and needing cute shirts to motivate me! I absolutely LOVE bows and could never find anything with bows to go running in, I am to old to wear them in my hair so I had to incorporate them somewhere :)

2. How long have you been in business? I have been in business since January of this year.

3. Which shirt is your favorite? I have a couple lol, Break a Sweat is my number 1 favorite and Sweating for the Dress

4. Why? Break a Sweat was the first shirt I ever made and sold so it will always be my favorite and the one that motivates me daily! I have it framed in my office so I can be reminded everyday of how lucky I am to have made my shirts into something I am so proud of! Sweating for the dress was another one created by my my fiance and its so catchy and creative that I always get so many compliments on it! Its such a fun shirt and so easy to personalize!

5. What is something unique about your products that people may not know? I am involved in every shirt made, I do have some help now (yay) but still have a hard time letting go of the making of them because I want them to be perfect and for everyone to love them as much as I do!

All of her shirts can be found at her store here

Picture above courtesy from Ruffles With Love.

She was also kind enough to do a giveaway on my site! Enter today to win a Shirt of your choice!

Hype Energy Drinks

We had the opportunity to review some Hype Energy Drinks. My husband loves energy drinks because he works the night shift a lot. They were very good and crisp. I loved the black one because it was more on the fruity side. My husband loved the fact that they gave him more energy than other competitors without feeling jittery. Another great thing about them is that they contain 10 different vitamins. Not many other energy drinks could say that! We will certainly be buying them now instead of our others. Check them out at http://www.hype.com

You can order them from their site at http://www.hype.com/onlinestore/ . They cost about $1.50 each... if I did my math right. ;) But you buy them by the case for $34.95.

They were kind enough to host a giveaway as well! One lucky reader will win a Hype hat and T-Shirt.

Photo Design

Tomorrow I have the day to myself! I am so looking forward to it. I meet with my trainer super early then after that... NOTHING. So I want to start working on my upcoming posts and giveaways, etc. Yes, that is what I love to do with my free time. It makes me super excited. It's nice to have a hobby that I can really get into again, especially with having a kid.

I am finding it hard to stick to just one or two main topics on this blog. It follows our life and now I am leaning towards organizational/family style blog... yet still going green. I am really big on that this summer. But I also want to do sales that I would love to share with my readers. I had a coupon blog last summer but with a one year old it was too crazy, so I think I am going back and doing two blogs now. One with our chaotic lifestyle and then one all about savings. Opinions?

While I am working on them tomorrow, I really want to do some blog design work. HOWEVER, I am clueless! What are some of the photo softwares that you other bloggers use? Or even my photography friends? I had looked into paying to have it done, but I am super anxious and don't think I could wait a few weeks... awful I know.

Swing with me!

So little man got a swing set for his birthday. He loves it! He has learned how to use a "big boy swing" for the first time. Super cute.

My hubby and I have been discussing potty training a lot too. We can't decide what the best way to go about it is. I've heard several people say to put him in big boy undies and just tell them they don't want to ruin them. I don't think that will work for him. He could care less about any character type thing out there. I've tried the reward system.. Doesn't work for him. His grandparents spoil him so he knows he will get whatever he wants even if we don't give it to him. I need more ideas! Anyone out there try something different to train their little ones?

Little Man is 2!

So my little man turned 2 on Wednesday. How depressing! He is growing up way to fast. I just wish there was a way to keep these precious moments forever. But his party this weekend was a blast. I hired a photographer... she did an AMAZING job! Y'all should check her out if your in the north metro Atlanta area. She does pictures and party planning. Her business is called Bashes by Blair. Here is a link to her blog.

Check out my angel!

Get organized!

So I have decided to start a little segment called "Get Organized". All of my friends and co-workers make fun of me because I am OCD about organization. I could LIVE in the Container Store. Hubby wouldn't like that too much though ;). But they always say "I will pay you to make me organized" so I thought I would share all my lovely techniques and internet finds. I am converting to WordPress soon and will be able to link these all together then.

Today's find that I will share is the Excel spreadsheet I use to keep up with grocery spending and savings. I found it from a fellow blogger, The Coupon Project. She has a free download available on her blog. It's amazing. You just punch in your numbers and it does all the work. I even like how you can set your budget for the month and it lets you know how much you have left to spend for the month. This really helps me stay on target with my grocery shopping and spending. Another piece of advice... never taking my hubby to the store again! He spends to much. Dropped my savings from 72% to 33% one day... crazy fool. ;)

Check out her download and blog here: The Coupon Project.

Stairs of Sand Review

I am typically one of those readers who goes in the book store and buys the first book I see with a cute cover. Needless to say almost every book I read is exactly the same. Girl falls in love with boy, boy falls in love with girl. The end. Getting rather predictable. I figured I would mix it up by doing some book reviews. I am applying to review any book I see. This should help broaden my horizon right? :)

I had the opportunity to review a novel called Stairs of Sand by Eileen Granfors. I need to say upfront that this story does use some curse words, etc. However, I really enjoyed it. It was about Suzanne, or Zoozle, and her mother and they "chaotic" journey they go through in their lives together. Suzanne is what her mother would think of as a rebellious and wild child, even in her 20's. As you read you realize she isn't so wild after all. Things just aren't how they seem. Eileen did a great job of helping the reader understand why Suzanne is so crazy and why their relationship has gotten so lost over the years. To me it really taught a lesson in the end, but I can't say what that is. You should go out and read it for yourself! It was a great book! HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a "can't put it down" type book.

School Blues

Why does the cost of an education seem to do nothing but go up? I mean really, when I first started college it was $1500 a semester. Now I am looking at $4000 a semester. In tough times like these, who can afford that?! Oh well. Guess I need to start planting a money tree for when my son is 18. :))

I signed little man up for gymnastics. I am so excited! He loves to "flip over" so I bet he will love this! His party is coming up this weekend. Everyday I hear him sing Happy Birthday to you little man. Hehe it's so cute.I ordered the cutest little gift bags. I will be posting pictures as soon as we get them back for all to see.

Our garden is FINALLY starting to produce some veggie's. When I watered them yesterday I noticed SEVERAL different flowers on the squash plant, so that gives me hope. It's the first time I have planted a garden using seeds instead of the pre-grown stuff. I figured if I was going to spend all that money for pre-grown plants I should just go to Publix and buy them, you know? Pointless to me.

I have many reviews and giveaways I need to get posted, so keep an eye out over the next two days!! :)) Good luck everyone!

Favorite Things

It's been a while but I thought I would give two new "Favorite Things"...

My pink Kitchen Aid mixer. It is amazing! I know they can be pricey but I have to say it is worth every penny. I can make cakes, brownies, etc. super fast and easy with this. They also have several different attachments so it can "transform" itself into several other appliances. I want to look into the pasta maker one and the grinder one. I have always thought it would be fun to make my own pasta... weird I know but hey sounds cool. And then my husband hunts so it would really come in handy to have our own grinder. No need to buy some big machine if I can just buy a small attachment, right? ;) Thanks Santa for this wonderful gift a few years back!! LOVE IT!!

These little banana smoothie mixes are yummy! You can find them in the produce section of your grocery store. Or at least I always see them at ours in GA. They are about .79 cents each. Just add bananas, milk, ice and a packet... viola a smoothie. I like to make them on days where we are all working outside a lot. It's like a little treat. Little man is obsessed. I need to look into what is actually in the packet, would be great if there was any health benefit instead of being fattening. Anyone ever try these?

So in an attempt to get more followers I am going to be doing some blog hops today! Check out the ones I have joined:

Looking to enter some Low Entry Giveaways?

Missed me?

So it has been a while since I have gotten to post. Let me catch you up to speed...

I finally got my gift for mothers day from my son's daycare. I love it! Every time he sees it he has to say "Look mommy. I made that for you. Mothers day." And then he gives me a big hug and kiss! I love it!!

My husband and I went with a group of friends to see Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan in concert. It was so much fun! A very much needed "date" with the husband. It was pretty cool, while we tailgated Jason and Luke drove by in their Bronco and hung out with everyone. Who does that?! It was awesome!

My garden has gotten quite huge. This picture I am posting is from when I was originally going to update y'all on it but never got around to it. I will post another one later today to show you. But we are excited. Everything has begun flowering so it shouldn't be much longer now.

I ordered Insanity. I have a lot of Facebook friends who have done it and highly recommended it so I decided to take the plunge. Via Ebay anyways. Much cheaper! I took my first fit test but then we left for vacation and then as soon as we got back we all have been passing a virus around so I haven't got past day two yet. I am hoping to start back up today. Here are my first fit test results:

Tough Girl Tutu Review & Giveaway

So I was VERY excited to write this review! As I have mentioned before, I did my first 5k and really looking forward to my second. Well I am signed up to do one this Sunday. But at my first one I saw so many girls in tutu's! It was the best idea ever! Working with Tough Girl Tutu's I finally have my own! It is so adorable. I am looking forward to wearing. Of course, I couldn't resist and I had to try it on while I worked out at home. I choose the leopard print tutu. Even cuter! It was extremely comfortable and I could tell it won't bother me while running.

After my run this weekend I will take a picture of me in it! Believe me you will be seeing MANY pictures of me in this cute thing. AH! I am so ecstatic to wear it lol.

Tough Girl Tutu's is wanting to do a giveaway with me! One lucky reader will get her own tutu! Good luck! :)) a Rafflecopter giveaway

Earth Balance Review & Giveaway

I am trying to get our family to eat more organic and natural stuff. It gets a little hard because things can be so expensive. I was lucky to learn about Earth Balance. They have several different types of products like soymilk, dressings, spreads, and more. I decided to try the whipped spread and the coconut spread. Sorry I have to use their generic photos... long story but my photos got erased. :((

They were great! The whipped spread you could just take out of the fridge and use. You didn't have to sit around and wait on it to become a little soft before spreading. I always hate that. It wasn't over powering like most spreads usually are either. No greasy mess.

The coconut spread I loved to cook with. We used it when making muffins and they were delicious. Even my husband said best batch of muffins ever. Which from him is a compliment, for sure! Coconut spread is supposed to be much better for you over any type of spread so I was glad to see it tasted good. I always pictured the coconut being over powering but it wasn't.

Best part is, they aren't expensive! So I can keep buying them! :))

Check out their site today at http://www.earthbalancenatural.com/

They were generous enough to do a giveaway as well. I have two free product coupons I will be giving away to one lucky winner. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Running?

So I was all excited back in April when I did my first 5K. I think we did it in 32 minutes? Anyways, I said I wanted to do more... but I have yet to do another! I had a blast doing the Color Run. I am trying to find some that are more family friendly to where I can take little man with me. He loves to be outdoors, so it is definitely something we could both enjoy. I've been thinking of practicing at the park and getting ready for the fall round of 5K's. Ah! Just gotta start doing it I guess. Well lets see how many I can get signed up for this Summer/Fall! :)) Wish me luck... I think I'll need it!

Niapads Review & Giveaway

So we were chosen to review a product called Niapads. They are acne wipes, and at first we were skeptical if they would work. We don't have acne but we do have the occasional break-out so thought we should give them a shot. They were great! It made our breakouts go away fast and left our skin feeling fresh. I have really dry skin and after using the Niapads I don't anymore. Love it! They were so simple to use. You moisten your skin, then wet the wipe. Scrub your face, wait 15 seconds and rinse. It's that easy. I loved that it came in a re-sealable pouch, so you use one wipe and close it back up. No drying out of anything. I always hate that! You can check them out here: www.niapads.com

~GIVEAWAY~

(1) Lucky winner will receive a pack of Niapads! Enter below. Winner will be selected at random by Rafflecopter. Winner has 24 hours to respond or it goes to next runner-up. a Rafflecopter giveaway
